Why we exist

Three disciplines. One repair. Too many gaps.

On most repair projects the engineers, the commercial team and the operations crew each see a different job. Where their pictures don't match, money and time leak out. With MYMS in the middle, you get:

  • Scope agreed before the vessel docks
  • Estimates that reflect the real cost
  • Change orders settled on clear evidence
  • Invoices that end in a signature, not a dispute

MYMS works in the space between them, so everyone reads the same scope, the same cost and the same timeline. That is the whole job.

For shipyards

Shipyard consultancy for a stronger repair department, built to last.

Our long-term programme moves in three steps. Each builds on the last, and the aim is always that your team owns the result.

  1. Step 1

    Assess

We review how your yard really works, from estimating and planning to invoicing and records, and find where revenue and time slip away.

You getA diagnostic report, maturity score, gap analysis and a prioritised action plan.

  2. Step 2

    Fix

We stay to put the improvements in place alongside your people, so the plan turns into everyday practice.

You getSOPs, standard reporting, risk registers and coaching while the change beds in.

  3. Step 3

    Train

We build the skills that keep the gains: focused courses for estimators, invoicers and planners.

You getCustom modules, case exercises, competency checklists and certification.

Who's behind it
Steel and machinery matter, but trust is what holds a project together.

Magdy Sharkawy has spent five decades in ship repair. He joined ASRY in Bahrain in 1982 and spent more than thirty years there leading complex repair projects.

In 2016 he founded MYMS to put that experience to work for others: one independent partner who understands the yard floor and the owner's office equally well.

Questions

Good to know

What does a ship repair consultant do?

We sit between the technical, commercial and operational sides of a repair. For yards that means better estimating, invoicing and planning. For owners it means independent checks on tenders, scope, progress and the final bill.

Who do you work with?

Shipyards that want stronger repair departments, and shipowners and ship management companies that want independent oversight of their repairs.

Where do you work?

We are headquartered at Bahrain Financial Harbour and work across the Middle East, Africa and Europe.

Do you need to be on site?

Not always. Our delivery model is remote-ready, and we are on site when the work calls for it.

Can you help with a single tender?

Yes. Our on-demand services cover one-off needs such as a tender estimate, a cost validation or an invoice package.

How do we start?

Most yards start with a department assessment. Owners usually start with a tender review before docking. Write to us and we'll suggest the right first step.
